If wefail to do this, others may arise to take our birthright,and it is now evident that light is greatly needed to shineabroad over the earth. Whenever we come in contact with those outside, wefind that we are very imperfectly known unto them.The questions which meet us at every turn are likethese: What is your religious belief? Thousands willyet arise to call our good Father F. W. Evans blessed forthe labors from his brain and pen, and.also others whohave toiled in the same field. But variety is the spice of life, and one outside ofour homes has written an interesting series of articles, ina very friendly spirit, giving the history of the Orderfrom its commencement; of the organization of the Soci-eties, and the foundation principles by which they aregoverned; also biographical reminiscences, together withillustrations of nearly all our villages and some of ourleading members. These articles have appeared duringthe last two years in the Manufacturer and Builder, amagazine published in New York City. The
