Please, use valid references and move this nonsensic name to Giorgio Orsini. This man was not a Croat at all.--Luciano di Martino 22:14, 8 мая 2011 (UTC)[ответить]

Note about "Juraj Dalmatinac"[править код]

True names of this great Italian architect and sculptor are Giorgio Orsini, given at his birth. A wide array of English language references about life and work of this famous Renaissance artist can be queried by simple Google book search [1]

"Juraj Dalmatinac" is an invented name coming from Croatian writers of the second half of 19th century.

Here is a good selection of references:

Giorgio Orsini died in 1475, and, so far as I can ascertain, at Sebenico, where he had a house on the doorway of which he carved the bear, the badge of his family, and the mallet and chisels and other implements of his craft2

But alas, only the doorway now remains of the house which "Michelle Simeonich, a nobleman of Sebenico, sold to Giorgio Orsini for two hundred golden ducats of just and good weight", in the month of June and the year 1455. On the lintel of this old doorway is carved a bear, the heraldic emblem of the great house of Orsini - carved, no doubt, by George's own hand, over this door through which he must have passed so often.

Put your "good" selection in italian wiki. Clearing russian authoritative sources is a vandalism, please do not repeat. Of course, during his live Dalmatinac was known as Orsisi - it is written in the article. But the name of the article in Russian wiki must be taken according authoritative written sources in Russian language. --Andres 06:22, 20 декабря 2011 (UTC)[ответить]
  • I do not see any authoritative "Russian" resources. These nonsenses ( Xорватия. Путеводитель Polyglott. 2004 г. ISBN 5-94161-083-1, etc) are recycling of Croatian nonsense (Fisković С., Juraj Dalmatinac, Zagreb, 1963. ) in both cases into Russian language. To fight nonsense is in full accordance to the Wikipedia guidance, but to shield it, as you did it, is a blatant vandalism.--71.191.19.40 14:42, 20 декабря 2011 (UTC)[ответить]
"I do not see any authoritative "Russian" resources" - Are you blind? See "Примечания" and read, please, the article БСЭ]. I appeal to administrators about you. --Andres 16:10, 20 декабря 2011 (UTC)[ответить]
